Welcome to the County Durham Learning Provider Network
In County Durham there are many organisations that work with a wide range of people from 14 to 65 to provide training, education and employment. The County Durham Learning Provider Network is a well-established group of organisations, which raises the awareness of vocational education and training and represents their members at local and countywide meetings and issues.
By working in partnership and collaboration we are able to access more opportunities and share good practice thereby providing better services to County Durham.
This site has two main aims
To provide easy access and information to parents, young people, schools and other organisations about the training and education opportunities that are delivered by our members.
To ensure that all Network members can have easy access to current local, regional and national information, initiatives and issues that are relevant to their industry.
In 2006-2007 the main priorities of CDLPN are:
- To strengthen the membership of the Network by having a more diverse range of delivers and providers including voluntary organisations.
- To work with all other stakeholders to deliver the Post Inspection Action Plan
- To be involved with the development of the Diploma Lines in the 14 –19 agenda
- To continue to promote vocational education which leads to sustainable employment with young people, their schools and their families
We hope this website helps and encourages you to consider vocational education as a potential route for your future development.
